Scouts are expected to wear a full uniform (official shirt, pants, belt, red neckerchief and neckerchief slide) at all troop meetings and activities. A uniform is not required for patrol meetings unless it involves a hike or similar activity. Only a scout shirt is required for campouts.
Newly registered Scouts may attend meetings wearing at least the official shirt and red neckerchief with slide. A scout is expected to have a full uniform by the time he reaches Tenderfoot rank.
The troop provides a new Scout with all the insignias he needs for his uniform:
Uniforms are available at the Chicago Area Council Scout Shop or the Northeast Illinois Council Trading Post. As scouts outgrow old uniforms, they are encouraged to donate them to the troop. A scout may borrow troop-owned uniforms from the Quartermaster and should return them clean when he leaves the troop or outgrows them.
